At the York University Campus, TTC construction is the norm. But now, springing up next to one future TTC station, there is also turf, grandstands and a track.

Construction season has been in overdrive this year as Toronto prepares for the Toronto 2015 Pan and ParaPan American Games.

The new CIBC Pan Am and Parapan Am Athletics Stadium at York University is one venue of 17 across Toronto, and many other throughout Southern Ontario, York, Durham, Peel, Halton, Haliburton, Simcoe, Hamilton, and Niagara, that will welcome the best athletes from 41 American countries to compete in 36 Pan Am, and 15 ParaPan Am sports from July 10-26 and August 7-15, respectively.

The Games are being touted as the largest major multi-sport event held in Canada.

The influx of tourists and athletes will certainly bring a combination of commotion and excitement to the city, which will be palpable in Downsview as many of the events will be held right here in our community.
